Howe Park Scouts Help Tidy The Parish

200+ hours in the Community

 As planned we spent a lot of time in November on Community  work. We do various things throughout the year, but this was our  final big push, and hopefully we helped improve the area a bit!

 17 Scouts and 6 adults spent 2 hours picking litter in     Emerson Valley.
     = 46 hours of effort

 16 Beavers and 8 adults spent 1.25 hours picking litter in      Westcroft.
    = 30 hours of effort

 8 Scouts and 4 adults spent 5.5 hours helping out      at Westbury Winter Fayre in various shifts
     = 35 hours of effort

 23 Cubs and 6 adults spent 1.5 hours litter picking     through  Shenley Brook End.
     =43.5 hours of community work.

 A team of 25 members of the Group including family      members spent a Saturday morning litter picking around     Westcroft, working with the Parish Councillors, and     Westcroft  McDonalds
     = 50 more hours of community work

All adding up to over 200 hours of Community work!


Howe Park Scout Group along with the Parish Council, Ward Councillors and McDonalds, recently carried out litter picks around the Parish.
