Taking stock of our local wildlife
As you know, we are proud of our stewardship of the green spaces in our area. Our Green Flag-winning Shenley Brook End Recreation Ground is the jewel in the crown on the western side of Milton Keynes.
As part of our ongoing commitment to sound environmental management, we are inviting members of the public to help us in conducting a wildlife survey on the Rec Ground. The first stage of this will to survey the birds that have been spotted in the park.
We are very pleased to say that the RSPB have kindly permitted us to use their annual Birdwatch tally chart as a basis for this*. You can download the sheets here or pop into the Parish Office for a printed copy. Then simply take the sheet along when you visit the park, fill it in and let us know what you find!

*Your survey at Shenley Brook End Recreation Ground will not form part of the RSPB’s nationwide Birdwatch Count. Please do not submit your results to RSPB, as their count has now closed for 2024.
