Each edition will feature a photography competition, capturing sights and scenes within the 8 estates of our parish (Emerson Valley, Furzton, Kingsmead, Shenley Brook End, Shenley Lodge, Tattenhoe, Tattenhoe Park and Westcroft).
Three winning photos will be chosen by a panel of parish councillors, with a £10 Amazon gift voucher to be won by each of the winning photographers.
The three winning photographs will feature in the subsequent edition of Community News, along with the name of the photographer, and some detail about the shot.
To enter, please send your photos to administration@shenleybrookend-pc.gov.uk with the subject line ‘Community News Competition‘. Your entry should include:
• a digital copy of the photograph
• your name
• where and when the photo was taken
• the subject of the photo and any additional notes or comments
We can only consider one entry per person. If you have won, you will be contacted ahead of the photo going to print. The closing date for entries for the current competition is Friday 7th February 2025.
Each edition will feature a colouring competition for children aged under 8 and a word search for children aged 8-13. One winner for each competition will be drawn at random from the entries we receive, and each winner will win a £10 Amazon gift voucher.
Entries must be submitted to us by a responsible adult, and include:
• the entrant’s name
• the entrant’s age
• the name and contact details of an appropriate adult
Submit entries by email to administration@shenleybrookend-pc.gov.uk using the subject line ‘Community News Competition‘, or by post to: FREEPOST, Shenley Brook End Parish Council.
Each winner’s appropriate adult will be contacted following the prize draw. Unlike the photo competition, we will not feature the names of the winning entrants of the word search and colouring competitions in the subsequent edition of Community News.
The closing date for the current competition is Friday 7th February 2025.
