Hints and tips on doing winter right
As the temperature drops, the risk to health increases, and it is worth taking a few simple precautions to avoid falling foul of everyday hazards. For example:
Falling leaves look very pretty, but as they mulch down they can become as slippery as ice. Mind your step, take your time and be especially careful when riding your bike.
Your windscreen can quickly develop a grimy film from water spraying up from the road. A few minutes to make sure your screenwash is topped up may be all it takes to avoid an accident.
At home, try to keep yourself warm. We know energy bills are expensive, but warm socks, hot water bottles and an extra blanket at night can work wonders.
