Two big weekends of music

In 2023, the National Bowl reopened its doors to music-lovers after a 7-year hiatus.  Now under the management of Stadium MK Ltd – the events operator for the home of MK Dons – the Bowl saw a concert by Muse and the hugely popular Reggae Land weekend.

This year, Reggae Land returns on Saturday 3rd to Sunday 4th August, along with all-day festival-style events headlined by Chase & Status on Saturday 10th August and YungBlud on Sunday 11th August.

Local information

Each event is expected to attract many thousands of visitors each day, generating an incredible festival atmosphere for those lucky enough to have tickets.

With so many attending, provisions have been made to mitigate the impact on the wider area.  Sue Dawson from Stadium MK Ltd attended this month’s Full Parish Council meeting to explain some of the arrangements that will be in place, including one-way systems, additional coach parking at the newly developed Elfield Park and a separation between commercial taxi drop-off and private vehicle drop-off areas.

Sue answered questions from Parish Councillors regarding concerns raised by residents last year, and explained how the arrangements had been reviewed to try to make 2024’s events run more smoothly for concert-goers and residents alike.

Traffic Management Plan from Stadium MK Ltd

Like all of you, we hope that this year’s events will be a huge success and that  any impact on local residents will be as small as possible.  However, if you find any problems over the two weekends, please call the helpline on 07742 973729 (9am-12 midnight each event day).

Now there’s nothing left to do but enjoy the music!
